Program Description

Navigating Endings and Beginnings,

and the Spaces In-Between

31 Days of Compassion, Writing & Reflection

Guided by Andrea Hylen & Beth Shekinah Terrence

We have been and continue to be living in incredibly challenging times. There is much uncertainty in the world and it’s taking its toll on all of us – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Many of us have been or are currently being stretched to our limits or even beyond. We are being asked to give to our families, friends, in our work relationships and in our communities. As we've emerged from the effects of a global pandemic and our increasingly chaotic world continues to impact us, many are feeling a sense of depletion, loss of hope and many layers of grief that we cannot even yet understand.

We are navigating between endings and beginnings, and the spaces in-between. This can be a very unsettling place to be as our natural human tendency is to seek order, stability, and a sense of control over life and our experiences.

In many ways, the universe is asking us to let go and step into a new way of being with ourselves, others, and the world around us.

During this 31 Days of Compassion, Writing and Reflection, the intention is for you to have an opportunity to:

  • Reflect on what has been ending this year and the seeds you have been planting for new beginnings.

  • Explore feelings and your vision for the emergence of a new world filled with greater compassion, kindness, and care.

  • Build a foundation for well-being and resilience by cultivating compassion through daily journal writing prompts, which invite you to practice and reflect.

  • Connect with yourself and community through an online connection space for sharing our experiences, writing and insights.

  • Explore how to navigate the endings and beginnings while tapping into the space in between.

  • Themes will include rites of passage, initiations, being at a crossroads, standing at the threshold, transitions, planting seeds, safety, and collective, ancestral, and individual change.

This 31 Day Program Includes:

  • 31-Days of reflections and questions for journal writing and inspiration for creative explorations posted daily from August 1st ~ 31st.

  • Compassion practices including meditation and mindfulness, gratitude, cultivating connection and more.

  • An online community of women and men journeying together to cultivate change in ourselves, our relationships, and our world.

What Past Participants Say...

Thank you Andrea Hylen and Beth Shekinah Terrence! It was a total surprise to me that this class transformed me as much as it did. I learned things about myself I never would have learned without your collective wisdom & guidance. Thank you so much for the experience!

Big Thank you for this 30 Days of Focus! It was profound for me to have my writing energetically taking the centre stage. There has been 22 years of resistance to that.

Somewhere between the end of the school year and the start of a busy first week of summer break, I lost my writing time. I am rediscovering it now around Day 16. I am grateful for the opening and despite the lapse, have benefited from this community. Thank you for the space, friendship, honesty, and cool memes. Love to all ...
